Our website… always a topic of debate. Do we need service pages? Should we have a blog? What should it even say?

However, ‘real work’ would always take priority and how we present ourselves would always take a back seat. After client discovery sessions we’d often ask the same question… ‘why don’t we ever do this for ourselves’. Well, we did… and?

  • We’ve realised that the work we do is deeper and broader than ever.
  • We build longer term relationships with our clients.
  • We’re brought in when things need to change.
  • We’re trusted to help make sense of complicated problems.
  • We’re involved in the bigger questions – not just what something should look like, but what it needs to say and do.

When a proposition changes – maybe the website is struggling to keep up or perhaps something just doesn’t feel right – we help make sense of those changes and turn them into something useful and distinctive. In the words of Santiago at LQD…

“You’ve turned our labyrinth into a maze and now we see the way out!”

The previous version of our website didn’t quite tell the whole story. It showed our work, but not enough of the thinking behind it, who we are, the problems we solve and the difference we make. Our new site is built to be a better expression of Eight Arms. A place to share what we know, explore what we’re curious about and be clearer about how we can help. And it can evolve with us.

There’s another good reason to tackle this now. In design and digital – and plenty of other industries – the world is changing rapidly. AI, templates and website building tools mean that producing something is easier, faster and cheaper than ever. We don’t think that makes creativity less valuable, we think it makes the thinking behind the work even more important.

Our new website is less about showing that we can make nice things and more about showing how we think, how we work and why that makes a difference. It’s a clearer expression of what we offer, who we want to work with and the kind of relationships we want to build.

We spend a lot of time helping our clients work out what matters and where they want to go next. Seemed about time we did the same for ourselves!
